SSO for WordPress / Google Apps

Hi,

I wondered if anyone knew of a plugin/solution that allows a user to sign into WordPress and a Google Apps account simultaneously, using the WordPress login as an interface if possible?

After a bit of research into this I found this plugin:

This allows you to authenticate against other authentication systems, and with some digging found this tutorial about implementing it:

While it sort of works, it doesn't sign the user into both WordPress and Google Apps, and the way it works behind the scenes is a bit of a fudge really.

I know there are plugins out there that let you log into WordPress using your preferred social media account, but I'd like a solution that has a better user experience - one that looks less like a bolt-on and one that is seamless for the client.

Is it a case of needing a developer to write something specific, or are there solutions out there a designer and front-end developer like me can implement?
