Classifieds / Events Plugin

Hi Everyone,

Im almost finished creating the community website (www.enjoystockport.com) that has taken me ages to get started... Thanks Mike for the advice!

The only two sections I need to complete are an events diary where any member can post a "whats on" event that will update a calendar - Does anyone know of any Plugins that will do this please?

Also, I wanted to create a little classifieds section where people could offer items they didnt want for swaps or maybe for sale - I dont need any billing components as it will just be a message board (I even thought of using BBPress for this)

I use Events Manager on a couple of clients' sites and it seems to go down well http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/events-manager/ I seem to recall you can specify which level of user can create events. 

Somebody who came to one of the meetups had built a site around bbpress that did classifieds if I recall correctly.

Hi Jon,

I've tried lots and lots of events management plugins over the years and settled on All in One Events Calendar plugin in the end.

It's good as you can pull in events from different Google calendars and also export/feed events to Google calendars.
