Subject: [MWUG] WP Developer Needed
Hi,
We're an agency based just outside Manchester and will possible need
to outsource some WP development work for a client of ours. It could
be quite a complex project so right now we're just trying to get a
feel for some developers capabilities and time lines.
The client has a lot of different sites each with their own look &
feel and content. The products they sell however are the same. As
such, they want to have a single location to control the content of
these products so it is possible to make a change in this one area
which then sweeps across all their sites. Furthermore, they require
the ability to pick and choose which products sit on which sites. For
example, products a, b and c might go on site 1, products a, c and d
go on site 2 and all products feature on site 3. Their current system
uses separate systems for each site and hooks up to a single database
just for the product category. I don’t know if this is possible
however in WordPress so would be open to a single WordPress system
which controls all sites provided each site can have different
themes.
We have a meeting with the client on 17th so I want to present the
best solution to them in that meeting along with a suggested cost and
timescales.
The client wants to move quite quickly so I imagine they will want to
start developing the first three sites towards the end of this month.
If you feel you have the capabilities to undertake such a project and
would like to have more info, please email Conor
(co...@venndigital.co.uk) or Pete (pe...@venndigital.co.uk).
Many thanks.
