First meetup

Well I think it's time for a first get-together, to get the ball
rolling and to see where this thing goes. It's scheduled for Thursday
30th July, i.e. a month from now. This is to give some time for the
word to get out and let people have a chance to plan it into their
calendars.

I'm suggesting provisionally the Briton's Protection pub, on Great
Bridgewater St, next to the Bridgewater Hall:

I've just spoken to them on the phone and there are a couple of
smallish rooms at the back, and a room that can be hired, with a
screen, upstairs.

Please feel free to suggest format, topics, etc, on this discussion

I thought I'd point out that we do have, in fact, a very kind offer of
some space in a newly formed hackspace in the Northern Quarter. If
it's ready and they're still willing, we could meet there instead.

Curses! You conflict (unintentionally I should add) with the Stockport
& S/E Manchester Hackspace this week!

I'm interested and I'll try and make it to the next one! In the mean
time, if anyone's interested in getting involved with the Stockport &
S/E Manchester Hackspace, please take a look at our list [1]. We try
and use as many different sources to make sure we conflict with as few
events as possible, but on this occasion we've missed your event.
