Sorry to hijack the group, but I got a request from a female developer, Rupa Dachere, looking to develop a female-oritentated development group.
"I am initially looking for a couple of female developers/geeks to take the initiative to set up monthly events such as hacking sessions, hands-on workshops or technical talks.
Topics can run the gamut - anything is fine.
The goal is to create an environment and community for focused and driven female developers who want to develop/refresh their skills"
