02)   Julian Starfest 2009  (August 21-23)

One of the terrific summertime public star parties in Southern California
takes place next weekend (Friday, Aug. 21 through Sunday, Aug. 23) in the
beautiful mountain community of Julian, California.  In addition to
stargazing with amazing telescope, Julian Starfest 2009 will feature other
exciting activities, lectures, tours, and more.  And if you're interested in
learning some of the "behind-the-scenes" stories of how I create my sky
photos-and to pick up some tips for yourself-be sure to attend my lecture
