I was reading an article that had information that sounded like
something that we can use to support our local business. I found this
article in the Nov. Better Homes and Gardens. It is called Project
3/50. Imagine life without your favorite mom and pop shop, this
project's aim is to support these business which are vital to the
local economies. This project asks this of you: Choose three
independent buisness you would miss if they closed. Stop in, browese
adn perhaps buy something. Then commmit to spending $50 or more each
month in locally owned stores. the website "the350project.net"
explains the importance of each dollar spent locally and how this
model can be used in a community. I thought it was interesting and
hope others will look at it and possibly consider using as a business
strategy... anyway it is food for thought... cj
