Found it. A radical wing of the Malvern Student body. Students
then apparently didn't think the "Oriole" was a proper mascot. Not
mean enough to convey the spirit of the teams of that era. They had
just moved into a new school building so a new mascot must have been
needed. The winning ways did not improve very much. The Malvern
High Oriolettes went to second round of the Girls State Tournament.
Oh well! Enough said for tonight. Allen (Once an Oriole, always an
Oriole)
