Application for Institusi Latihan Jabatan Tenaga Manusia (ILJTM) is open now for January intake. For those SPM leavers sitting at home please apply for ILJTM now. There are all together 26 institutes under ILJTM. Every state in Malaysia has minimum one. I know most of us heard about ILP Arumugam Pillai in Nibong Tebal. For your information ILP Arumugam Pillai is one of the institutes under ILJTM. Students can apply anywhere. Please choose the courses you like and then choose correct ILJTM for you. For SPM leaver who did not get places in any other institutes, this is the best time to apply to ILP. Don't wait....... apply now.

YSS has just received the information that there are 140 places available at the ILP Kepala Batas. Youths will get direct admission at the 'walk-in interviews', which are taking place now. What is required is a photocopy of your IC, copy of your SPM results (minimum pass in BM, Maths and Science. Please grab the available places immediately.
The courses offered are conducted by recognized trainers from the Human Resources Ministry. The courses are specifically oriented for employment in private sector industries. The actual incentive is that these two year courses are fully sponsored by the Government. It is not a loan but a full grant/scholarship. Government provides the fees, accommodation, food and RM100 pocket money during the period of study. The trainee just covers just the very basic cost such as uniform and some basic fees.
The course, which has many available places is an Electronic course called Digital Control. The course runs for 2 years and 3 months. It is a new course and industries are looking for skilled workers with competencies in handing digitalized equipments. There is much future in this line of work. There are about 70 available places for the taking as of today.
Another course with about 20 available places is Industrial Electronics. This too is in much demand and here too it is a 2 years and 3 months course. Some places are available for the electrician (PW2) certification course by Energy Commission. This is a 2 year course. Other places are available in the field of air condition repair, telecommunications and computer systems.
Young people with the basic SPM passes in BM, Maths and Science must apply especially if you are from a poor or low income family. We cannot say that there are no opportunities in Malaysia or we do not have the funds to study beyond SPM.
These are opportunities and we must 'plug into the government institutions' . In so doing you can ensure a better future for yourself and your family. The future is in our hands. Let's take it and make the best use of it.
