I am Shuaib, I attended last meeting for the first time and to some
extent I found that the topics are not necessarily related to rails.

If that is the case, I might show people how to run windows on top of
ubuntu using VirtualBox and do some effects on compiz

when is the meeting?

So sorry about that. I have just been put on a new project involving
the MUMPS programming language (quite a strange name), so I might go
on a short hiatus from these meetings too.

That language is a little bit like Ruby, though it is more Perl-based
and minus object orientation. It's surprisingly simple to learn,
though quite an old language.

All the best. I still have a burning interest in Ruby on Rails though.
But my managers are forcing me onto this track. No time to practice it
until I get out of this project or change to an RoR job (any takers?).
