RailsRumble - a 48-hour Rails competition Sept 8-9

A 48-hour Rails competition is coming up real soon. The prizes are
awesome!

The Rails Rumble is a competition to test your Ruby on Rails hacking
skills, build some cool new web apps, and make some friends.

The concept is simple: you get 48 hours to design, develop, and deploy
a web application from scratch. After those 48 hours are up, you'll be
judged by the community through a peer-ranking system in a variety of
categories (see Rules for more information). After about a week of
controlled mayhem, judging wraps up and the dust settles. Winners are
then declared, and awarded some cool prizes. We'll be announcing what
those prizes are shortly.

So what do you have to do? Sign up to compete. Teams can consist of up
to 4 people. Or sign up as a spectator and help judge. We'll be
rolling out the full suite of goodies soon, and if you add your
contact info to the alerts list we'll shoot you an email when
registration opens.

BTW, RSB will be hosting a venue for RailsRumble participants at the
RSB office in Cyberjaya if you want to work in a physical location
with your team mates. There will be food and drinks, and internet
connection (naturally)! :)

The event will officially start at 12PM Saturday Malaysian time on
Sept 8 and end 12PM Monday Malaysian time. We will probably open the
venue at 8AM in the morning and close shop at 8PM on Sat and Sun.

Place is limited, so once you register for RailsRumble (not yet opened
BTW), please reply to this thread if you are interested to come in for
those two days.
