Hi there,From: "Tim Haines" <tmha...@gmail.com>Date: January 14, 2008 5:08:51 AM GMT+08:00Subject: Searching for a reliable offshore ROR developer
My business partner and I are seeking an experienced Rails developer to build a series of web applications for us. My partner is a designer, and I'm a developer with too much on my plate to build the web apps myself. We have screen designs (html/css) done for the first app, and hope to have it implemented by the end of February. If you know of someone who would be a good candidate for this work, or if you or your company may be able to assist as with this, we'd love to hear from you.
What we're looking for is someone who:Ideally the person we find will be active in the community somehow, via blogging, writing plugins, or making contributions back to the Rails source.
- Can provide links to 3 "good" web apps they've built recently, and provide the clients contact details as a referral.
- Can use our screen designs to work out a development plan with time estimates and schedules, costs, and development milestones up front. Payment will be tied to milestones.
- Will be writing automated tests (unit/functional/integration etc) as they go.
- Will be keeping the source code in a secure subversion repository that we can access to view progress.
- Will be able to put the web app on a secure host to allow us to test it at each milestone.
- Is a good communicator, and is happy using email/Skype to keep in touch with us throughout the project (we're both based in New Zealand)
If you can help us find the right person, we'd love to hear from you.
Kindest Regards,
Tim Haines.
