Elections - June 4th (read on for full details)

Since the last attempt at holding elections didn't work out terribly well, we will try again.

ELECTION PROCEDURE:

-Candidates *must* announce candidacy for office via *this mailing list*, by 11:59pm on Friday, May 31st, 2013. Failure to do so means you are not a candidate.
-Election will take place at 6:30pm on Tuesday, June 4th, 2013 (i.e. half an hour before the regular business meeting time, so new people should be less of an issue)
-If there are multiple candidates for a position, paper ballots will be issued. If there aren't, then you're automatically in as of 6:31 or so on June 4th :-)

I hearby officially place my name in for being at large, in a board member sort of way. I feel that I have a good contrasting viewpoint and set of skills that would compliment and enhance the current board, as wall as make myself a valuable asset as a board member.

To all voting members of Makers' Alliance and the current Board,

I retract my prior initial candidacy for the position of Vice President of The Makers' Alliance. (No need for 2 members to compete for 1 position when there are 3 positions vacant.)

I do hereby enter myself as a candidate for the Board Member position of Secretary of The Makers' Alliance as defined by the current ByLaws.

The immediate goals I intend to pursue and complete as a Board Member do fall within the defined responsibilities of the position of Secretary. :)
