Slic3r settings for Mosaic
|
| |
For those that have requested them, below is my config.ini. (One of
the nice things about Slic3r is that there is so little to configure!)
Now, I'm not saying it's the be-all end-all, drop Skeinforge/SFACT and
run, but it does work really well in some situations, and Sound (on
IRC) is very good about taking bug reports on github and addressing... more »

First Print - How To
|
| |
Step 1: Manual Extrusion Terms: Hot-end - where the filament is melted (black insulator to the nozzle) Filament drive - contains the drive pulley and tensioning mechanism. The filament drive grips the plastic filament and forces the plastic through the hot-end (aka extrudes the plastic) Extruder - combination of hot-end, filament drive and stepper motor... more »

Oil cooled Nozzle/Barrel
|
| |
Hi, I am going to 'convert' the M2 nozzle/barrel to an oil/or water cooled version. This should be fairly straightforward (based on past experience this means 'will be problematic and take years') . I will be using a non-pumped heat syphon using a pretty small amount of liquid - less than 100ml which will be in a sealed container on the extruder motor (note to... more »

Calibration Issues.. ?
|
| |
Hello all!
I've had my M2 for a few weeks now, and done a few decent prints.
Lately, however, I can't get it to work!
I've got (fresh) blue painters tape on my heated platform, yet it seems that the filament do not stick.
I am quite sure that it is simply a calibration error. Either I have too... more »

Guide tube friction issue
|
| |
I've been using my M2 for a while and gotten some great prints - then I ordered some "pro" filament from Matter Hackers and I have a problem with all of the "Pro" filament - partway into the print the filament gear strips the filament and it stops feeding - I suspect it is several things all coming together to cause this to happen, here is what I've changed to use... more »

Leaking Vase
|
| |
Hi all
I've printed several vases, but they all leak. Printed with PLA 180°C, bed temp 60°C.
The last one with 5 bottom and outline layers. But they still leak!
Anybody out there who has a solution?

M2 - awful clog on plastic housing that holds extruder
|
| |
I'm using an M2. I had the extruder heated up to 185 C and the extrusion of the filament began to work until I heard a bad grinding sound from the gear. I reversed the filament and tried again with the same result. I reversed the filament and then removed the fans. There were some PLA shards around the gear, so... more »

Viki LCD on Makergear M2

For anyone interested, thought I would share my latest progress with getting the Viki LCD working on the M2. I added code to the Marlin firmware for the directional buttons and added in the M2 specific changes from [link]. The firmware source is attached, and the diff reports are also below. Use at your own risk! ;-) I... more »
