Layer Height

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone on here with a prusa mendel (ACME threaded rods + 0.5mm nozzle) could recommend a good layer height to use for printing. I have always used 0.2 mm but i'm not sure if this is a good number. My understanding is that the layer height should be an increment calculated using the z-axis stepper motor and the threaded rod pitch. How exactly do I go about doing this? (i dont know the pitch of the ACME threaded rods or have a great way of calculating it precisely)
