Hi all,

I have a MakerGear Mosaic and started using a new install of Slic3r v0.9.0.
Fill sags, bridges fall (see pic)

*Temp 215
*Bed 90
*ABS juice on mirror
*Filament 1.72 mm
*Extrusion mult 0.95
*Fill density 0.4
*Infill speed 60
*Bridges 60
*Support yes, 45 threshold, rectilinear

Temp too hot?
Extruding too much filament?

I'll be adding a fan soon, but this won't fix the bridge and doubt that will fix horrible infill sagging.

Thanks!
Eric

That looks suspiciously like overheated PLA behavior...

Side of the spool says: "MakerGear 1.75MM Black ABS 1.5 Pounds - Spooled"

Plus it doesn't have that sweet PLA smell, so I'm assuming it's ABS.

I'm actually printing that same ABS reliably at 210, which may be a small part of the problem.  Also, a fan definitely helps with bridging and sagging.

Is the 1.72mm accurate?  And if so, why also the .95 extrusion multiplier?

I calipered 1.76 and was using 1 ext mult but thought it was extruding too much filament.
So I tweaked the value a bit.

What is your Slic3r version & config and RAMPS 1.4 firmware?

Thanks!

Do you need 40% infill? Try 20%.

That's not a useful question for me to answer, as I'm using three different slic3r versions, and RAMBo.  Change your filament diameter to 1.76 and remove the extrusion multiplier, and try that.  Also do a temperature test of your specific filament - start at your known good 215, and drop by 5 until you have trouble extruding.  Raise it 5 from that point and try to print again.

I have a stock M1 preassembled: unless there is variation in units, the assumption is the configuration should be known.

I have changed the filament diameter, removed multiplier, change temperature; no change.

0.9.0 had bugs, download the latest update 0.9.1 and see if you still have problems. 0.9.0 was horrendous, 0.9.1 fixed the issues for me.
