Got a new cupcake and hooked up the 3G5D firmware and cable hack. XML file is setup to use the makerbot4g driver, extruder board is flashed with version 3.0 stepstruder w/relays firmware (should this be the non-stepstruder version since I did cable hack?)

From the control panel the bot moves and the A axis works great. When the print starts the lights never come on for the A Axis and the extruder never pushes filament through. Any thoughts on what I could have done wrong in setting it up?

Thanks!

I had the same problem initially. The A axis is reversed by default
open your motherboard preferences and click the option to reverse it.

I've changed that and no luck. Tried to switch another bot from the Makerbot4GA (rpm?) driver to the makerbot4g driver and I have the same issue when I generate gcode and try to print.

Thoughts? I'm avoiding using the makerbot4ga driver because I want to use Jetty's firmware eventually and they recommend against using the RPM 5D versions of it.

Would it matter that I'm using Skeinforge40 from replicatorg0029r2?

I had confused and thought RPM = 5D (with dimension) which it does not. With the Makerbot4GA driver and the proper skeinforge settings this now works with the 3G5D cable hack.
