I am not a very technical / math kind of guy, and I am trying to better understand how to get the results I want from the Replicator.  All the research I have done on slicing is very confusing to me because of how technical it is.

I have an object that comes out great except for one thing.  One line of the support material gets into a spot that is too hard to remove it from.  Is there a way to just shift the support structure over a few millimeters so that it doesn't obstruct this part of the object?

Also, I have tried playing with the settings to get the supports to be a bit thinner so they will come off easier, but have had no luck.  Anyone have good numbers on that?

Thanks!

I have had a few issues similar to this before and what i did was rotate the object slightly on the platform in RepG before generating gcode, that fixed it for me but I am not sure if it will fix your particular issue.

In the Skeinforge Raft settings:

1. Make the gap wider or narrower - "Support Gap over Perimeter Extrusion Width (ratio)"
   - My minimal raft is set to .01 which leaves enough of a gap to reduce attachment to the object being printed.

2. Making the support material thicker or thinner - "Support Flow Rate over Operating Flow rate (ratio)"
  - I had to increase to .9 to get more consistent support material
