I'm making a version of Wade's Geared Nema17 extruder modified to work
with the Cupcake and I was wondering if there were any places to get
the four springs anywhere other than Mcmaster-Carr. They carry the
springs, but it's quite a hassle to buy things from there (not to
mention the high price). So, has anyone else built this extruder? And
where did you get the springs?

hey moshee,
i haven't got round to fixing the springs yet, but my plan is to use
wire and wrap it tight around a bar and make the springs my self...
i'm confident the DIY springs will suffice...
