I've been having fun with my Replicator. But I'm noticing that larger
objects give better quality (more than a couple centimetres). Smaller
prints (about 1cm), or small detailed areas of larger prints (again
around 1cm or less) tend to not do so well. The problems I see are
no-stick, and if the object does stick, then I see gaps/missed areas on
the surface. Sometimes I'll see an uneven surface right next to a gap.
My platform is dialled in fairly well (I think). So it would seem I
need to start exploring feed rates and various skeinforge settings. I'm
looking for suggestions though as I'm still new to all of this. Almost
everything is at default values right now, using RepG 0034 with SF 47.
So, if I print with 0 or 1 extra shell, does that help with details? Do
I need more shells? I'm usually using a 10 or 20% fill - do I need to
go higher for details? I've seen reference to changing the Z-Offset,
and suspect I may be pushing some plastic around, but haven't found that
option yet
Any tips/leads are appreciated. Thanks muchly!
