scratched build platform will it hurt my prints?

or will the kapton shield me from this? once i replace the kapton, of course.

If you really cut it deeply, you could try sanding down the rough edges a bit or something, but I've scratched the aluminum build plate on my ToM a number of times and have never noticed any effect. Wrinkles in the kapton are more likely to show up on the bottom of your prints.
