The grandfather clock mechanism may be the coolest thing on Thingiverse and it's even cooler that Syvwlch started making a clock and the community rallied. A lot of work has been done, but the clock is not done yet. This group is dedicated to creating an open source clock that you can make on your MakerBot.
You're invited to be a part of the project which is going to get re-started now and we are going to meet again on February 4th at the Botcave in Brooklyn to assess progress and evaluate designs and possibly reverse engineer some old wooden geared clocks. It's going to be an adventure.
