saw the first red winged blackbird at the feeder yesterday--today, about 15 were there--they flew away quickly but are in and out and I can hear them calling--
the pond is still frozen solid, of course.

nice small flock of rw blackbirds, two goldfinches back, and the usual regulars-- two mallards usually in at dawn and 15-30 in at dusk--still have to put the extra corn and treats for the mallards under the feeder and the scraps for the crows go there too till the snowdrifts melt--yesterday's surprise was a turkey vulture under the feeder with the crows--an amazing close view of his head--wow
