Hi all,

I just got an email from a friend who counted about 40 ring-necked ducks in Grand Falls Flowage separating Indian Township from Princeton.  He works in the Environmental Department and his office overlooks the flowage not far downstream from the Rt. 1 bridge where the birds can be easily viewed.  The flowage is relatively narrow in this area and water levels are presently low, waiting for snow melt.

This is a good spot for white perch during the summer.

Good birding,

Norm

Just got back from the Riverbank Park in Westbrook where similar numbers of ring-necked ducks were in the river between the park and the upstream bridge.

Also had one last night at Springbrook Farm in Cumberland along with a couple of wood ducks and a red shouldered hawk.
