Spring tapping woodpecker😊

Heard a very loud fast tapping of a woodpecker in the woods this morning; heard through a closed window. So welcome. Thought might be a Pileated, but when it flew, somewhat distant, was a smaller woodpecker. Still a welcome sound when the drive and paths to my house are all ice.
Chickadees and others singing too.
Sorry if this isn’t a specific bird. I’d like to see more reports here.

Both Chickadees and Titmice have started their spring songs, and today there was a single bluebird at the feeders (a rare event this time of year).  The deep woods was still pretty quiet when I was out todaybthough.

3 skeins of Canada Geese overhead in Saco Sunday afternoon; near river here but more activity than normal. Hope springs eternal!
