Sandy Hook (NJ) had a crazy-great migration day yesterday (May 19), on the heels of overnight NW winds. A remnant of Hurricane Sandy is that much of the woodlands are flooded, thus becoming wooded wetlands. Thus far this spring, they have been blessed with high numbers of things like Prothonotary Warbler, late Rusty Blackbirds, and La. Waterthrushes. Yesterday they had unprecedented numbers of many warbler species and other specialties.

They’re all headed this way.
