South Coast fallout, continued

Hi all,
Jeannette and I continued our birding day, heading north through Wells. The coastal fallout was evident at least through Cape Neddick. Despite the time (2:15-4:30pm), weather (increasing E wind, fog, and soon drizzle), the neighborhood adjacent to The Nubble was very productive.

Select migrant counts in a much-less-than-exhaustive search:
36 Common Yellowthroats
13 Lincoln's Sparrows (!)
8 Swainson's Thrushes
6 Red-eyed Vireos
8 American Redstarts
6 Magnolia Warblers
4 Least Flycatchers
4 Swamp Sparrows
3 Eastern Wood-Pewees
3 Northern Waterthrushes
2 Wilson's Warblers
2 Indigo Buntings
1 YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER (FOY)
1 Willow Flycatcher (our NINTH species of flycatcher on the day..one Olive-sided Fly short of double-digits.)
1 White-crowned Sparrow

Shorter stops here and there suggested that there were a LOT of birds around; almost every blooming apple tree we looked at had at least 1-2 warblers.

What a day!
