Just upgraded to the most recent version of Mailsmith and am now
having problems when trying to Quit the program. I get the SPOD
and Activity Monitor indicates Mailsmith is Not Responding. Suggestions?

For now, I'll revert to v2.2.1(292) from my backup.

Mailsmith v2.2.4(312)
OS X 10.4.11

Patience? How long did you wait before giving up?

As I’m sure many have noticed, it takes _much_ longer for
Mailsmith 2.2.4 (312) to quit. With 208 mailboxes and 22,367
messages, what used to be 2-3 seconds, now take approx. 37 seconds.

Just FYI.

Blessings and Happy New Year to all!,

I removed 2.2.4 (312) and reinstalled 2.2.1 (292) from a backup
and the problems went away.

When I had time, I reinstalled 2.2.4 to test again. Now it
behaves as indicated by the response below. The original
install of 2.2.4 was taking so much time to quit that I was able
to open Activity Monitor and watch it and check on its
behavior. It was still Not Responding after about five
minutes. This was a highly repeatable experience even after
logout/login and a reboot.

Now, with the reinstall it is more like 20 seconds -- similar to
what is described below Bit that is still too slow. Once
again, I'll drop back to 2.2.1 (292) for now.

Thanks...

David
