I need to move one of my email accounts (a POP account), with all of
its corresponding mailboxes (and filters), into a Gmail account.
What's the best way to do this? Is there a way to import Mailsmith's
mbox's into Gmail? If so, how?

I'm assuming that I'll have to manually set up the filters, and copy
them from the Mailsmith filters and paste them into the Gmail labels,
correct? Naturally, I'd appreciate any further guidance for doing
this more efficiently. Thanks again!

You may want to ask on a gmail list for importing assistance.
But exporting from Mailsmith is quite easy. You can either drag
a mailbox to your desktop, or select a mailbox and choose
File->Export Mail. Both of those will create a mbox file which
you can then take over to gmail.

As for filters, I expect they will have to be recreated manually.

Thanks... Really appreciate it. I actually posted a query on the
Gmail list already, but haven't yet received a good answer. The
question is really how to get import the mbox's into gmail. Any other
ideas? Thanks!

Well, the Gmail lists/forums are really the proper place to ask
this question, since it's really a Gmail issue once you've
exported your mailboxes from Mailsmith. A quick search of the
Gmail help forum for 'import mbox files' shows that this is a
FAQ which has been asked and answered there many times.
