Over the past few days or so I'm noticing a real problem with
Mailplane. The program will notify me in the menubar that there are
new messages, and may even deliver the messages in the program. But
when I click on a message to open it, it will only highlight the
message. The only way to get at the message(s) is to quit the program
and start anew (or use the "Reset Gmail Session" command). But in
either case, the relief is only temporary, and after an hour or two,
I'll have to restart anew. Note that I do not have this problem if I
access my Gmail from within the Safari browser.
I am running Mac OS 10.6.8 and Mailplane 2.5.5 (#1676).
Any idea what the problem might be? Thanks! -- Bob Baker

Yes, as I indicated in the original post, I can get Mailplane to work
again if I use the "Reset Gmail Session" menu item. But the fix is
only temporary, and after another hour or two, Mailplane freezes up
again. Any idea as to what might be causing this problem?

I am also having this problem. First noticed it on February 14.
This is making Mailplane unusable for me, since it is impractical to
continually reset/restart.
Anyone know what is going on?

How did you install an older version? I'd be interested in doing this
as the constant restarting of Mailplane is getting very old very fast.
I've searched around on the Mailplane web site but don't see any older
versions of the application available for download. Any suggestions?
Have you heard anything from Reuben?

The version is called mailplane tiger 1610.dmg. There is a proxy or firewall preventing me from attaching it to this email presumably put in by Mailplane.Do you want me to try to send it to your personal email?

Thanks for the link. I downloaded and installed, but still have the
problem. I may have to go back to Apple's Mail program...or to using
Gmail in my browser. I don't understand why Ruben isn't responding,
even if just to say that he's trying to figure out what's going on.
Very frustrating.
