The guy from here has the same exact problem:
http://www.listware.net/201005/freebsd-gnome/90450-trouble-with-gnome-session-0.html
Tried to mount /proc and reinstall sysutils/polkit, sysutils/
policykit.
When starting /usr/local/libexec/at-spi-registryd directly, I have:
** (<unknown>:55314): WARNING **: Could not set GTK_MODULES: The name
org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files
** (<unknown>:55314): WARNING **: Failed to register client: The name
org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files
** (<unknown>:55314): WARNING **: Unable to register client with
session manager
Any ideas?
To workaround, run:
sed -i '.bak' -e 's@Exec=${exec_prefix}@Exec=/usr/local@' `locate at-
spi-registryd-wrapper.desktop`
