Since the vaps import I get the following kernel panic upon inserting an
Atheros-based PCCard:
http://bsd-geek.de/FreeBSD/ifconfig_panic.png
Sorry for the very bad quality. I hate those mirror-like notebook
displays...
The sources are from yesterday, rc.conf looks like this:
wlans_ath0=wlan0
ifconfig_wlan0="WPA DHCP"

I dont see how this can happen as the softc lock is dropped before the
copyout. Also, this ioctl isnt commonly called, are your sources in sync
and do you have any local changes to that file?

No, there aren't any pre-vap entries.
Attached you find my rc.conf, dmesg output and I managed to get a proper
kgdb output of the panic.
I don't know if that could be related, I need to change the IRQ settings
for the cardbus to get my card recognized. So I have this in /etc/rc:
pciconf -wb pci0:0:30:0 0x1a 8
When I am fast enough and insert the card shortly after the partitions
are mounted, everything runs normally, wpa_supplicant gets started and I
get connected to the wireless net.
