As for LAM, they are linux binaries. I compiled lam-6.3.2 on FreeBSD4.2R
with Compaq's ccc/cxx/fort. I will get kdump for linux and make test
tomorrow (today in Tokio?).

Is LAM written in C or C++? If C, you can use the
/usr/ports/lang/compaq-cc port and produce FreeBSD binaries.
