Hi,

I'm looking for a (word,excel)-application to use as a web application from
a computer-working-station at any place in the world.

Can I use the obenoffice-software for this. Or do you know another
possibility for that.

Thanks for help

I hope someone who knows replies to this. This is a good function your
asking for. In the Windows environment Citrix allows Microsoft Office
to act as a web-based app. You only need to point your browser to the
web page and you get Office functionality through your browser. If OOo
1.1 can't do this now, maybe it is something for the groupware
developers to consider, if they're not planning for it already.

A WebOffice sounds great and terribly needed, it is basically done on MS
via the JS language they own via components.

I have seen some intense formating with PHP, and even the geocities web
editor is a good example of a web application based on HTML creation. Maybe
a version focused on XML - SXW creationg might be a great idea.

Yes, it is possible. The OOBean project does exactly this :
