you can subscribe even without using the API, just use the form from your MailChimp account and send it using, for example jQuery, so you dont mess up with <form runat="server" >

but if you really want to use the API under C#, check out the API Wrappers page and you will find a nice one to use with C#

You should send a little more on the API page and check all methods.

You will know what and what you can't do.

for the current version of the API (1.2) you can do 95% of what you do on the web panel, through the API.
