Hello, I am looking for some help setting up an API with Filemaker. I
would be interested to hear from anyone who may be able to help me. If
you can give me an idea of how long i might take and how much it might
cost.

Sits it sounds like you'd like to hire someone, if you don't get
anything from here, you may want to try our Experts list:

Honestly, though, you may be better off finding a Filemaker developer
who has done integrations (not necessarily with us) since working with
our API should be pretty straightforward for them.
