H. O. Magleby Memorial Foundation
We need to raise $30,000 to support family history
research !!
The Board of Directors of the
H.O. Magleby Memorial Foundation has approved the hiring of a professional
family history researcher, Warren Bittner and his company, Ancestors Lost &
Found, to extend the Magleby family genealogy. The objective is search out
and expand the pedigree past the work performed by Robert M. Christensen and
other family members.
In a preliminary project
performed by this research company, a 20 hour research found 22 new
individuals. These were the ancestors of Benta Albertsdatter, Hans Olsen
Magleby's third-great grandmother. The researchers were able to discover
Danish ancestors that date back to 1607.
With proper funding the
researchers expect to find many more ancestors of Hans in Dragor and Store
Magleby in Denmark as well as Gjertrude Marie's ancestors in Kongsberg,
Buskerud, Norway, Elisa's ancestors in Idd, Ostfold, Norway and Anne's
ancestors in Jyllinge, Copenhagen, Denmark.
This is a request for you
to make a tax-deductible donation to the H.O. Magleby Memorial Foundation.
Please send your check made out
to H. O. Magleby Memorial Foundation to:
John Blake, Chairman
885 East 970 North
Orem, UT 84097-3458
An official receipt from the tax
exempt foundation will be returned by mail to you. Donations will be
matched by a Magleby cousin so your donation will double in value.
The information of these
ancestors will be published in a Hans Olsen Magleby Memorial hard bound book to
be released in about one year. This book will include pictures,
biographies and stories about Hans, his wives, their ancestors and their
descendants, including children, grand children and great-grand children.
A web site is planned to display
further family descendant information including biographies, pictures, and
stories contributed by family members concerning current family members and
family events such as the recent trip made by 35 family members in the summer of
2009 to Denmark and Norway.
We appreciate your support in
these exciting family projects,
John Blake
