Some recent Magleby happenings:
· Clayton Magleby Christensen had an article on the editorial page of the March 15, 2010 edition of Business Week talking about health care reform. His comments were based on his latest book The Innovator’s Prescription.
· The Hans Olsen Magleby Memorial Foundation Board of Directors met on Sunday, March 21, 2010 and agreed to fund a major genealogical research project. Deliverables from that project will include family history data as well as a published “Magleby Book” documenting the first 3 or 4 generations of Hans Olsen Magleby’s posterity.
· The next HO Magleby Family reunion will be held at Magleby Reservoir on Monroe Mountain (you go up the Koosharem side) on Friday, August 6, 2010 through Sunday, August 8, 2010. Plans are coming together nicely. You and your family can camp on the mountain around the reservoir in tents or RV’s (no hookups available). Members of the Orson Magleby family have agreed to open up the Magleby Ranch near Koosharem (see photograph attached) to tenting or RV’s. If camping is not your style, a wide variety of accommodations are available at Fish Lake, Richfield, Monroe, and other places throughout Sevier County. Come for as little or as much of the program as you wish. There is no charge. See postcard attached. Highlights include:
o Friday afternoon Magleby home and property tour in Monroe
o Friday evening campfire program at Magleby Reservoir
o Saturday morning breakfast at Magleby Reservoir (this is the only group meal that will be served)
o Saturday morning tour of historic Magleby sites on the Mountain with associated family stories
o Saturday morning fish planting in the reservoir (guaranteed to delight the youngsters)
o Sunday morning Church services
· We have 500 postcards to send out, so we are having a postcard party at Paul and Cathy Magleby’s office, The Magleby Companies, 1291 West Center, Lindon, Utah at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, March 28, 2010. Everyone along the Wasatch Front is invited. These have been a lot of fun in the past.
