Is it possible to make phpthumb not rename the file when uploading the
image?

Although I would not recommend the change, you can edit
'RCCWP_upload.php' on line 49 and where:

$filename = time() . $filename;

You can change to:

$filename = $filename;

In my opinion, you should ALWAYS have something unique on your
uploaded files name to avoid accidental overwrites.
