Hey,
Just wanted to see if mages was still being supported? Also If you
could clarify a confusion I have with the GPL license. Am I allowed to
charge for a software that uses your code?

It is not under development at this moment. GPL license doesn't allow
usage within commercial software, you need to buy commercial license.
