As Shane stated last night this weeks bootcamp will be starting from
the Old Bawn shops at 10am we will be heading to hellfire and maybe
Massys. We will depart at 10:15am as its beeen cold the last few weeks
and nobody likes to hang around!

Again these spin have been very popular and this week again we will be
on roads for 70% of the uphill climb! so as they say in the Scouts "Bí
Ulamh"... high viz and spares.

Hellfire will be great for a bit of fast DH and into Masseys for a bit
too! (get the wheels mucky and what not)...

Again this is an easy spin pace and will require patience if you are
intermediate or advnaced levels! but all are most welcome!!

PS. Hoping to set up more training sessions after Christmas but I will
be relying on some of the advancewd lads, you know who you are!! to
come out and help / show the ropes in DH.... (particularly for
Kindlestown and B/stoe)....

Directions from helpful Shane (the southsider)
from the m50 go up the tallaght bypass heading for tallaght
1st you will go pass kilsaren
then go straight through the roundabout and through the set of lights
a shell garage should be on your left keep going and go through the
next set of lights.
you will come to another set turn left here
furniture desigen will be on your left
keep straight on this road go throught all the light and the shops are
opposite the old mill pub

cheers shane

Or an easier way to get to Old Bawn is to come off the M50 at the Knockloyon/Firshouse exit and turn towards Firhouse.
Follow this road through 3 roundabouts until you come to a large interesction. You will see the shops on your right and The Old Mill pub to your left. Entrance to the shops is straight through at the intersection and turn right.

Good luck,

Sean

Afternoon all!

Great spin this morning ! Base camp 10.00. 10 (soon to be 12) gathered to begin the hardest climb so far on the list of beginner boot camps!  The climb was hard and steep but we all managed to make it to Hellfire car park were we met Paddy and Brendan who came from the Yellow House direction!  The weather was fantastic and as we hit the summit visibility across Dublin was amazing.

Anyway for the awards:-

1, Most punctures Barry (was it 2 or 3?)!
2. Best Hell fire wood fall, Shane (rock da boat)!
3. Spectacular display of acrobatics in Masseys wood at the steps (360 degrees), Richie!
4. Getting lost, Martin (don't ask me why)

Think it was enjoyed by all and the decent after Masseys back to old Bawn will justify a number of people with speeding tickets!!

Anyway hope everyone makes it to three Rock next week as we have a twist to the route! which will make an intermediate spin out of the proposed route! keep tuned!  Meeeting point Taylors at 10.

And for the drunk who never bothered to get out of bed this morning you know who you are!!

Martin (yes I know it was me who set up the uphill boot camp so stop reminding me!!!)

(On a serious note! all beginners out on regular spins and not signed up, can you hand your 2007 subs to a committee member on the next spin! application form is on the site somewhere!!)

what an achievement, most punctures!
i'm so proud of me and my glass filled wheel!
although i'm proud of the award, i'm not hoping for an award like this
next week! seriously, the stress of that!
today was a great day, it was most enjoyable!

cheers,

barry danzig.
