The Madison Cultural Plan draft has two references to community gardens in its 104 pages. The Cultural Plan Steering Committee is seeking citizen input at 2 more meetings this week. This approach, if adopted, will become the framework by which many local cultural endeavors are ranked and evaluated. Please read through the Summary and Plan and then attend or send along your input to Karin Wolf ( see below) as you are moved.

Schedules Four Community Draft Cultural Plan Review Sessions:
Tell us what you think
We are almost there! For the last two years, residents around the City have
participated in focus groups, community meetings, on-line surveys and
one-on-one interviews to share their ideas about how Madison supports and utilizes arts, culture,
and creative work.
At the end of 2011, consultant Mary Berryman Agard of Madison presented the Cultural Plan Steering
Committee with her recommendations for the first citywide Cultural Plan.
As her draft winds through various city committees for comment, members of the
Cultural Plan Steering Committee would like to meet with Madison residents to share highlights of the
plan and hear reaction before they advance final recommendations to the Madison
Common Council.
In the coming weeks, the Cultural Plan Steering Committee will embark on a
series of community meetings throughout Madison.
The public is invited and encouraged to help inform the steering committee
members of priorities, questions, concerns, or missed opportunities.
