Ok, who's done .net to DB2?

Just started looking - and found what looks to be a great example -- http://www.codeguru.com/csharp/.net/net_data/article.php/c19651

But get the error that I don't have the drivers installed -- all the drivers I'm seeing seem to be paid versions -- but before going down that route wanted to see what others have done to address this issue. :)

I’m a DB2 guru – but it usually costs.

 

But you may be able to get by with one of these downloads:

 

http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/db2/express/download.html

 

If the server system you need the data from has DB2 Connect, you may be able to access it for free. DB2 Connect is easy to  use – I installed it at the Boston Store aka Saks aka Bon-Ton. They still use it for their web sites, I believe.

you're connecting db2 for z/OS? or 400?   if just UDB for LUW, no cost for the drivers.
