Steve and I setup the solution and added some documentation to the
codeplex project. If you are interested in participating please
coordinate with Steve or I. Please let us know what you would like
to work on. We will assign tasks in the codeplex project.
The codeplex project is at http://betamash.codeplex.com/ you will need
an account on codeplex and contact Steve so he can add you. He will
need your username.
I hope everyone can get some things out of this project. We still
have some brainstorming to do on entities, features etc. I would like
to have a skype conference this week, but I need to know when everyone
is available. Please send me your availability.
My Skype ID is Sitrucious. Steve's Skype ID is Agent_9191.
Outstanding job guys. You are really living up to the names you chose
for your consulting companies....checkin's until 2am! For those that
will be using TortiseSVN to check out the code, go into the settnigs
and change and check the option to use _SVN instead of .svn, as this
will save you some time.
Best time for me for a skype call would probably be between 8-10pm.
For those of you that were not at the All.Net meeting last night, I'll
provide a bit of background to get you up to speed. The gruop has
decided to start a group project (something we had always been
planning to do), and submit it to the Cloud App challange that
Microsoft is sponsoring. I believe the deadline for the projec is June
18th, so there is only so much that we will be able to get done
between now and then. However, I think that the idea behind the
project is very interseting and will keep people interested even after
the contest has ended.
So what is the project? Curt had the original idea, which was a
website to connect developers working on projects, with testers. This
was expanded somewhat to include designers as well. The definitions of
these roles is still up in the air, as well as what all the roles will
be, but the mian idea is a way for people with various backgrounds to
connect on a professional level to do some type of work.Everyone will
be able to leave feedback and rate each other for the work they did,
building up rep, getting awards, etc (yeah, kind of like stack
overflow). The project is not looking to "compete" against say
codeplex or google code, in that we won't be hosting projects, or
source code directly. Integration with these sites is something we
talked about, but is not something we will be able to do in the short
term.

In the documentation which I should have sent a direct link to it has the
SVN Ignore values and the _svn setting. And thanks for the description Adam
you nailed it. I'll see you all if you are online at 2 or 3 a.m. in the
morning. hehe.

I'm pretty open on when I'm available for a Skype call. The only
exception is I will be out of town this Friday evening through early
Sunday afternoon, so limited Internet connection.
So we have a decent level of coordination with the tasks, there's a
Task type in the Issue Tracker within CodePlex. We can assign the
tasks to a person to work on, so that way we'll have a decent idea of
who's working on what.

I started adding content to the project wiki based on my project
description above, and the discusions we had last night (at least up
until the point that I left). Acording to Twitter, Curt was going off
on wild tangents, and those are not included in the Wiki at this
time ;)
Defenitly feel free to change, correct (especially spelling) and add
to the Wiki as work progresses. The descriptions for the roles, and
the ratings are just some place holders I put in and are not intended
to be the final word, etc.
At some point we should consider making use of the project discussion
boards and issue tracker. I think I'll copy this post over to the
project discussion board as well.
