Job Opening! Backend Ruby/Database Developer

SnowShoeFood inc is looking to hire a backend/database/dashboard
developer to join our fast-growing startup.

Who we are:
We sell smartphone apps and software development kits based on our
patent-pending SnowShoe Stamp transaction authentication token
(www.snowshoestamp.com). We have products on Android and iOS native
platforms, as well as HTML5/JS/PHP web apps. We're a growth-stage
startup with six full-time employees.

What we want you to do:
We want you to retool/rebuild our existing backend database schema and
server-side codebase. Our current system is written in Java on top of
a PostgreSQL database and GWT user interface. That said, you would
have free range to build/rebuild the system using whatever languages
and tools you see fit.

Your responsibilities would also extend to the development of our
dashboard website to display analytic data for various segregated
client groups. Both projects will require you to work very closely
with our UI/Handset/Graphic Design team as well as our sales and
customer service personnel.

Specific attributes we are looking for:
From a technical perspective, we don’t care what language, platform,
database, code, magic or voodoo you use to get the job done. It will
be YOUR job to make determinations concerning which tools will best
address the specific requirements of the system. We are looking for
someone who is obsessed with backend development, and who is eager to
implement the latest and greatest tools and methods in support of our
products and clientele.

This means that your outlook, personality, intellect and work ethic
are far more important to us than is your resume. You must be
comfortable developing in a highly iterative workflow. You must come
with good references (and yes, we will check them). You must have
exhibited the ability to get big code projects done on time, under
budget, and with a smile. You must be fun to work with, and be
willing to commit yourself fully to the success of the company.
