Hello, I would like to check the quality of my music library. How can I check the bitrate of an mp3 file on mac os x? I dont see it in either itunes or vlc and I do not want to start my windows vm every time i get a new item to check it in foobar. Thanks in advance, Gretings, Anouk,

Hello. when I try and right click on a folder I'm downloading via sendspace, sometimes I can sometimes click menu up by control clicking but about 95 percent of the time I cannot I have interacted with the table and right clicked on every part of it i can think of How do I right click on that folder to get its options again?... more »

HI all, There is a game engine coming out for windows, that lets people make their own games just by running some scripts, so all they need are the sounds and or music etc. It is only for windows at the moment but it would be great if the developer of [link] would make it work under mac for us guys to make our own games for the mac community. At present the guy states it not viable, but he should look at the mac community it is growing rapidly and the only aspect we are lacking on, is games... more »

speaking announcements in ichat

Hi everyone, I've been experimenting with the notification settings in Ichat and I noticed that you can have it speak an announcement when a buddy logs in, for example. When I turn this feature on, the voice it uses speaks very slowly, even though my system voice set in the speech preferences is set to the highest rate. Is there any way I can change the system voice so that it speaks the announcements faster? Like I said, I've already set the voice to speak at the highest rate in the speech preferences.... more »
