This problem seems to be occurring just in iPhoto 4, under Mac OS X
10.4 on PowerPC systems. Until an update to the exporter plug-in is
available, use the stand-alone Picasa Web Albums Uploader application.

I have an iBook, run 10.4.11, run iPhoto 4.0.3. Every time I try to
upload more than a couple pictures to Picasa Web Galleries, it tells
me to upgrade. So a week ago, I did and the error still tells me I
need to upgrade. I've restarted both programs many times. My account
tells me I have 10GB open. Any idea how to fix this?

Yes it appears in the installed plug-ins; the disabled plug-ins folder
is empty.

Is PicasaWebAlbums.iPhotoExporter checked, unchecked, or missing in
the Plug-ins list in the Finder's Get Info window? Is it black or
grayed out in that list?

If you right-click (or click with the control key pressed) on the
iPhoto application icon, you can look inside its bundle at the
installed, and disabled, plug-ins.

Thanks Greg -

My problem was I had organized my apps folder and filed iPhoto into a
directory within apps.. apps>media>photography once I moved it back
out to generic apps it installed and now shows up in my export menu.

While this solution works, I'm sad to learn that the architecture of
the OS doesn't allow for better organization within the apps.

I'm having the same problem using MB OS X 10.5.5 and iPhoto '08.

iPhoto plug-in won't install. The export menu doesn't have "export" as
an option.

When I look at plug-ins in the application folder (iPhoto - get info)
I see the picasa plug-in there but it isn't working.

I followed the instructions of Greg above and came up with the

Is your copy of iPhoto in the system-wide Applications directory
(where Apple normally puts it), and is its name still iPhoto?

Have the permissions of iPhoto or its PlugIns directory been changed?
To see those, open Terminal (from the /Applications/Utilities folder)
and type

ls -lF /Applications/iPhoto.app/Conte nts/

unwanted photos

I recently upgraded to Picasa 3.
At a certain point when my computer is idle,images are brought on my
screen from my files.
Some of these images are deleted,but still showing up in this slide
show.Some of these pictures are problematic....they were deleted for a
reason.How do I eliminate these photos?

I am finding two problems occur each time I view a slideshow:

(1) some photos that appear prior to slideshow do not appear in the
slideshow itself.

(2) several photos are always not properly focused.

i hadnt uploaded in sometime and tried to add pictures, i was only at
50% storage and it told me i needed to upgrade. i did. i still cant
even upload with the added storage! i've reinstalled, rebooted,
