There was a posting in topic All Browsers Crash that is supposed to be this 
answer to the problem.

 BUT, no one uses flash 8 on their websites anymore so even though it stops 
crashing the browser it just doesn't work.

 Does anyone have any other solutions.....still can't view any flash pages here.
