I generaly do work for web and video and have used the Macromedia suite for
some time now. I have been using Freehand for some time now to produce
vector art work for Flash presentations.
A company I do work for wants me to produce their print work that ties
their magazine ads to their Web and CD presentations. I need links that
cover the essentials and terminology for print work. Many of the searches I
have done are tutorials in Illustrator.
Basicaly I want to be able to interpret the printers requirements and
produce the art work accordingly. i.e. Resolution used, bleed, etc.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Rich
Sorry, I don't have any links to offer, but I'd be glad to have a shot
at any specific questions that may arise. You might benefit from reading
the comp.publish.prepress newsgroup or doing a Google search there for
specific issues.
BTW, I don't see your posting in the Macromedia forum, although it's
been 'mirrored' to Usenet at large. This may explain in part why no-one
else has answered, although you'll likely get a better response to
specific questions related to FH. Anyway, if you post through
forums.macromedia.com instead of your usual news server you will reach a
larger audience -- including Macromedia staff.
