Windows projectors created with Player 9.0 r115, fullscreen mode no longer
works properly: all animation and interaction stops until fullscreen mode is
turned off.

The first (client approval) version of the project I'm working on worked fine
(and was Player 9.0 r45). Now when I'm nearly ready to deliver, it's broken!

Is there a way to revert to creating projectors using r45?

Hello man.
I had almost the same problem and what I did was disabling the scale
property to stage.fullScreenSourceRect = null; in the first frame,
just before doing the fscommand. I think it has something to do with
the hardware rendering of the newer flash players.

I hope this helps. I did it with flash player 9.0.115

We have experienced this same issue. The problem is still there with 9r124. The
only way around it for now is to reinstall Flash and don't run the Flash Player
for Flash CS3 upgrade or find an old stand alone Windows Flash Player 9r45 and
drop your swf onto it and choose create Player from the File menu. It's a huge
pain that took us hours of wasted time to figure out. Sigh?

This is what exactly I am doing! Thanks for your post!

Yes, still unresolved. I've put the 9r45 players in Applications:Adobe Flash
CS3:Players (Flash Player.app and FlashPlayer.exe), and swap
them out when I need to create a projector with fullscreen capability. Not
ideal, and really a quite basic feature that should have been fixed
immediately. Perhaps Adobe aren't interested in projectors any more, assuming
everyone will want to use AIR?

I tend to use mProjector when I need increased functionality and control, but
revert to Flash projectors when smooth animation is more important.

The really frustrating part is that we upgraded a week ago to the latest Flash
Player because the old one was building Mac stand-alone Flash Players that were
not compatible with non-Intel based Mac computers. Hopefully this gets resolved
soon, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hi Guys,

Is this the problem you are referring to ?

http://www.flashjester.com/?section=faq&cPath=14_56_26#414

If you want to go back to the old Flash Projector Player, here is a
suggestion.

You don't need to reinstall Flash.

You just need a copy of the old Flash Player.

If you download an evaluation copy of Jugglor

http://www.jugglor.com

and install it then go to

:\Program Files\FlashJester\Jugglor v30\Projector Files\CS3FlashPlayer.exe

Just open it.

Now whatever SWF you click on will open up in this Player. You can always go
back to the new player

:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\Players\FlashPlayer.exe

and now if you click on a SWF it will open up in the new Player.

Simple !

Hope this helps.

No it doesn't help - this isn't a solution to a BUG introduced in Flash 9 -
it's a plug for third-party software. I think we'd all rather hear SOLUTIONS
from Adobe than COMMERCIALS for buggy, overly-complicated third-party software.

I really wish you'd stop trawling through the articles on here in the vain
attempt to drum up business.
